About
Book Simpatico™ is a place for the exploration and expression of how books impact our lives.

This blog focuses on reading, writing, and making physical books. The experience of walking down a bookshop or library aisle and sensing a book trying to connect with you. The feeling of a fabric cover beneath your fingers, and turning each page to find something unexpected. The years spent carving out a story from your mind until eventually holding the tangible results between your fingers.
And how cool is it to hand print and stitch your own story into a little book, and share that vision with others.
Pretty cool. Life changing sometimes.
As an artist who moves frequently, I am best explained by the book Quiet. Introduced to books as partners in life when just a tiny child, I read two to eight books a week, usually more than one at a time. My reading interests include mystery comedies, historical fiction, dysfunctional family novels, social science, art history, art theory, art practice, and “children’s” picture books.
